Sump Bucket

The five gallon bucket for the drain from the tank is a bubble eliminator. It has a couple of pieces of live rock in it so that it does not float away. The air laden water from the tank goes into the bucket. All of the air has to raise to the surface to get out of the bucket where it dissipates almost immediately. This keeps it from getting sucked into the pump intake and being blown back into the tank.
